2021 - Year in Review
Posted 9th December 2021
So, what a rollercoaster this last year has been, I’m sure I’m not alone in saying businesses of all sizes have gone through the mill for almost 2 years now. At LP we have noted (as that great old football phrase goes) this year has been “a game of two-halves”, where we saw a notable pickup in business starting to happen around June time.
At LP we have had our own challenges to contend with during this period, but I’m very proud of the way the team have continued to support clients throughout this time, trying to help is in their DNA and they have continued to give an excellent service to all our customers.
Sadly, we have also noticed a dramatic increase in attempted Cyber-attacks both in general and specifically to clients, so I know I keep saying it – but please listen to the advice we continue to push out through our blogs, newsletters and (where possible) review meetings. This is not something that is going away, and everyone needs to be so much more vigilant in handling emails, remote working and continue to add those layers of security.
Another big hurdle for some clients was handling the WFH (Working from home) challenge, and it feels like the need for businesses and systems to become more agile and flexible is more important than ever. My personal view is you do lose ‘something’ with a completely dispersed workforce, but that it also offers many benefits in (to name a few) flexibility, efficiency in office space and location of staff you recruit – it does widen the options greatly in having that ability, so maybe a Hybrid model is where we are all heading for the longer term?
We continue to put a lot of effort into pushing out the bi-weekly LP Lowdown newsletter, regular informative blogs and content on Social Media, and we hope that’s something that offers you some extra value and we look forward to seeing what 2022 brings us!
Merry Christmas and here’s to a better 2022 for us all!
