What is Cyber Assurance
CyberAssurance is an assessment that analyses the data management and security. IASME Cyber Assurance Maps to the Government’s 10 Steps to Cyber Security & NIS Directive. CyberEssentials focuses on the Internet facing devices and the controls and processes around that,
IASME Cyber Assurance gives small to medium sized businesses the opportunity to show that they demonstrate a high level of cyber security awareness, comparable to ISO 27001. The Cyber Assurance assessment also incorporates GDPR, so should you suffer a data breach, you’ll be able to prove to the ICO that you have done everything possible to avoid it mitigating potential fines.
As a result, being IASME Cyber Assurance certified means that your business can build, and maintain, a high level of trust with your clients and will be more attractive to other businesses and organisations. Showing that you take data security seriously can give you a head start against your competitors.
To achieve Cyber Assurance Certification, you must be (or become) Cyber Essentials certified. Which can be achieved either separately before going for Cyber Assurance, or by combining both certificates into a single assessment process.
