So, 2020 is coming to an end. Before we begin, we promise not to use the word ‘unprecedented’ at any point in this blog.
We think we can all agree that 2020 hasn’t gone to plan for many businesses out there. It’s been distressing to see businesses of all sizes suffering, and even for companies who have made it through the last 12 months, it was impossible not to be affected by a multitude of emotions as we watched the news and attended virtual networking events. As a business, LP Networks genuinely wears its heart on its sleeve and our team was determined to see what we could do to help.
After the initial shock of the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown, we decided to take some time to invest in our business operations and the service we provide to our clients. Our first port of call was to keep up with our marketing strategy and push forward with improvements to our website. We also reached out to the wider community with an interview in Greenwich’s Masthead business magazine and our first radio interview.
In the background the team were also working extremely hard. We studied for more exams and as a business we are now IASME Gold accredited and are delivering CyberEssentials audits. The team also consolidated and reviewed all our client information, speeding up the support process, and implemented better processes on our Service Desk. Making sure that our clients received the best possible support has always been important to us, but this year it became imperative. Understanding that IT problems could be make or break for companies who were trying to operate virtually, LP Networks also teamed up with South East Enterprise to offer free services and support to their members and we built even stronger relationships with local business groups.
I think our biggest achievement this year has been the way we engaged with every client to see how we could help them at the outset with calls and email newsletters offering advice and sometimes just someone to share the worry. The way our team has continued to support our clients with no perceivable loss of service levels, quickly dealing with the huge volume of remote access tickets and continuing to perform laptop builds during the strictest lockdown, has been amazing. They’ve also started delivering additional services such as Dark Web Monitoring and User Awareness Training, both designed to keep companies safe and running.
Our committed team of IT experts are working harder than ever to ensure the technical solutions we offer help your whole business achieve the goals on your roadmap rather than just resolve the problem presented, with Lee and Jason undertaking regular Strategy and Service reviews. As a result of our remote working practices we’re pleased to say that none of LP Networks’ team has been directly affected by Covid-19 (as yet) and we are working hard to ensure it stays that way.
I look forward to 2021 with more optimism and seeing clients face to face once more soon.
