The Brief/Challenge

Go Tec Ltd are one of the UK’s fastest-growing, independent nursing agencies that specialise in providing temporary and permanent staffing solutions around the UK.  LP Networks have been providing IT related support services to Go Tec Ltd for a number of years. 

During the COVID-19 pandemic there has been a spike in the number of spam and malware related emails, with this in mind there is a concern that any email opened or processed in error could impact Go-Tec Ltd.  

The Solution

During an account review meeting, LP Networks discussed with the management team about enhancing the layers of security within their office 365 platform around email.

As a Microsoft Silver Partner LP Networks were able to recommend to Go Tec Ltd a solution to assist them in protecting their emails against cyber threats

Microsoft Office 365 Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) is a cloud-based email filtering service that helps protects organisations against unknown malware and viruses by providing robust zero-day protection and includes features to safeguard your organization from harmful links in real-time. 

After approval, LP Networks engineers enabled the ATP Product on Go Tec’s Office 365 tenancy. Assigning the users who require the product and configuring policies to the safe links and attachments. 

Once enabled this Office 365 add-on product will scan incoming emails, using multiple scanning engines and techniques to keep the bad emails and content out of the user's mailbox. Additionally, the product can scan within Microsoft collaboration tools SharePoint, OneDrive and MS Teams.
