Axis Group is a leading provider of Cleaning, Security and Support services to UK businesses.

The Brief/Challenge

The Axis Group of companies provide high-quality facility services to discerning clients from a variety of sectors. Their core expertise lies in the delivery of security, cleaning, and reception management services.

The client advised they were experiencing a lot of wireless connection issues in some of their offices. It was found with the increasing number of laptops, mobiles and tablets connecting to the office WiFi, users were having connectivity issues due to the network being overloaded and running on low-end Wireless devices.

Also as part of the IT Strategy, there was a motivation to move onto a more secure wireless platform to improve performance, security and compliancy. 

The Solution

As a Cisco Meraki partner, our recommendation was to migrate the client sites over to the Cloud managed platform. Cisco Meraki is the leader in cloud controlled WiFi, Routing and Security. 

LP Networks assessed the various locations and physically installed the devices across the offices in the UK in a phased approach. Authentication with Active Directory was configured so when users connect to the Corporate Wireless Network they do so with their Network logon credentials.

Then other wireless networks were created to provide Guest wireless access and separation from the internal network.

Benefits

Since the implementation, the service tickets associated with wireless have almost been eradicated completely. Employees moving between locations can do so seamlessly.
