Octane Finance is a leading UK vehicle finance brokerage offering tailored funding solutions for cars, vans, motorbikes, electric vehicles, and specialist models. They support customers and dealer partners nationwide with market-leading finance options across PCP, HP, Lease Purchase and more.  

Their reputation centres on speed, expertise, and customer experience, consistently praised for professionalism and responsiveness.  

Alongside Octane Finance, the group includes We Finance Any Car and We Finance Any Van, expanding their reach and customer offering. 
A strong professional relationship between LP Networks Director Lee Pepper and Octane Director Ian Francombe provided the foundation for a strategic IT transformation partnership.

The Challenge 

Prior to partnering with LP Networks, Octane had an IT individual overseeing their environment. While helpful operationally, their setup lacked the depth, monitoring, and the strategic oversight required for a large, multi-brand finance business.

This resulted in:

The Solution 

LP Networks onboarded Octane through a detailed, multi-phase process focused on auditing, stabilising, and modernising their IT estate.

Site Visits & Data Collection – In depth audits across all locations to include Device inventory, User & security reviews, Existing IT processes & documentation and Microsoft 365 setup and management. 

Deployment of LP Networks Monitoring Agents – To bring structure and visibility, LP installed its RMM (Remote Monitoring & Management) agents on all devices. This enables: Automated patching, performance monitoring, security alerting, hardware reports & predictive maintenance. 

Microsoft 365 License Review & Migration – LP reviewed Octanes M365 usage and license efficiency, migrated Octanes O365 to LP networks vendor partner and this created a secure, centralised cloud environment. 

GAP Reporting – GAP report to highlight all operational, security and compliance issues across Octane Finance and associated brands (We Finance Any Car and We Finance Any Van) 
This allowed LP Networks to highlight a significant number of machines which were running outdated Windows 10 versions rendering them unsupported and vulnerable to security risk. This posed compliance issues, particularly in a business handling sensitive finance applications. 

Phased Device Replacement Project - LP Networks created a structured phased hardware replacement project to ensure minimal disruption and predictable budgeting. This included: Prioritising devices based on age, usage and security status, planning a staged rollout around operational schedules and making sure every new device was Windows 11. 
This project moved all three brands toward a fully compliant, stable and standardised device fleet.

Client Perspective 

Octane has had the same IT provider since its inception in 2018 when we had 3 employees working from a shared office in Essex. As we entered 2026 we have almost 70 staff members across three sites as well as remote workers.
