Fest & Revel own four venues, Kelsey House Bar & Kitchen in Beckenham, Pope Street Bar & Kitchen in New Eltham, The Guinea Pub in Tunbridge Wells and the Tanyard Lane Bar & Kitchen in Bexley.
All four establishments have historically sourced their Internet connections independently and then relied on the built-in basic routers for Wireless connectivity and basic security.
Whilst a few years ago this was sufficient the recent requirements for Cybersecurity/Compliance, Streaming to devices in Pubs (sporting events), Social Media usage and securing the Pubs internal networks for Point of Sale devices has meant faster, more reliable and secure services were required.
This increase in demand has put a strain on the venues outdated and low performing lines and customers are struggling with connections.
Fest & Revel requested a solution to increase the speed, reliability and security of the Internet and Wireless.
Fest & Revel came to LP Networks, to discuss the situation and find a common solution that can be deployed to all the venues.
LP Networks used their trusted partner Beaming, an independent Internet Service Provider for businesses across the UK, which have their own infrastructure and Internet presence. Consulting with Beaming we ascertained all lines could be migrated over to them from BT, and at the same time upgraded from standard ADSL to FTTC (moving from around 8mb to 70mb download speeds).
On the day of migration, our engineers were on site and swapped the services to Beaming, then the Cisco Meraki platform was installed to create the required isolated networks to allow Pub guests to have an Internet link but keeping it separate from other internal networks for Music, Till machines and other devices.
These venues now have an improved internet solution which both them and their customers can use with confidence.
