IASME manage a suite of certifications, some of which they perform as a Government accredited scheme (such as CyberEssentials/CyberEssentials Plus) as well as a growing portfolio of industry specific certifications that we are sure will come as standard for those industries. This is IASME certification, it is comparable to ISO 270001. Cyber Assurance is an audit of the data handling and management of a business. This tends to be more intensive and will require more work on Policies, Procedures and Auditing. It will explore what data is held, how it is protected who has access to the data and how that is controlled and monitored. Put simply its around Data Governance.

Cyber Essentials is a government accredited certification. It is a self-audit on the ‘Internet facing’ aspect of a business. It is a device level assessment of the security and deals with areas such as hardware and the software running on it, Routers, firewalls, laptops, PC’s and mobile devices. It also looks at the security administration for a business such as passwords and permissions.
