Cyber Essentials for law firms

With the Law Society now recommending that all law firms become Cyber Essentials accredited if they want to apply for the Lexcel legal practice quality mark, now is the ideal time to assess the cybersecurity of your legal practice.

Cyber Essentials is a UK Government backed scheme which helps to guard against up to 88% of cyberattacks. In order to achieve accreditation, a firm must prove that it is compliant in 5 key areas:

• Firewall
• Security Configuration
• User Access Controls
• Malware Protection
• Patch Management
